About the event
Introduction:
Advanced Dental Education Athens
4 Modules: €10,000
Is a please for sharing knowledge. The idea is to discuss protocols for everyday and advanced dentistry, that corresponds to the clinical realities of our dental practices. Stepping on the shoulders of clinical experience and classic fundamentals, we will introduce the new realities and concepts.
Implant master program it’s a project of four modules that aim to cover the main subjects in n implant dentistry and connect the missing links. Till now there is a lack of centralised education that covers the area in its fullness.
Implant dentistry it’s a unique area that combines knowledge and demands coming from:
Aesthetics
Tissue biology
Periodontal management
Bone augmentation
Prosthetics
Mechanics
And this should be combined with good understanding about implants and implant components.
The A to Z program have a goal of enlightenment those fields and connect the dots in a logical web. The program starts with simple implant placement in non aesthetic areas. As simple as it is here we can focus on the key details that make the difference. Such as bone and soft tissue requirements, implant selection and corresponding components. How much more we need for implant placement, quality and quantity of soft tissues that prevent resorption and guarantee stability. Driving protocols, primary stability and bone to implant contact. Position of the implants will be discussed in depth. The focus here will be the implant position in terms of depth. Key factors for the vertical positioning of the implants are soft tissues, emergence profile, interoclusal space and bone availability.
Component selection. There is a big variety of components for implants. They have specific indications, advantages and disadvantages, which make the choice sometimes difficult and confusing. Therefore we will try to clarify and suggest optimal protocols for component selection.
Diferent clinical scenarios include: delayed implant placement in adequate tissues, delayed implant placement with CTG bone augmentation and/or sinus lift. Submerge treatment modalities and open healing with stock abutment or custom abutment.
Immediate implant placement in non aesthetic zone with socket seal abutment or Crevico.
In the aesthetic zone focus will be on soft tissue preservation and/or reconstruction. In cace of immediate implants we will focus on how to compensate the shrinkage and support papillae. How to harvest CT grafts and tissue handling. Prosthetic profiles of temporary restorations and final prosthetic.
Often in delayed cases the key for success is tissue reconstruction. Soft tissue augmentation and GBR procedures will be discuss in depth.
Separate module will be dedicated to complex implant treatments in combination with orthodontics, crown lengthening procedure and recession coverage. Treatment planing and sequences will be discus.
All on X procedures will combine the knowledge coming from delayed and immediate cases in to a full arch approach. Here we will focus on implant position planing and prosthetic support. How we can guide the shrinkage and support the tissues. Component selection and material choice.
